Their theme appears to be interdisciplinary and using varied perspectives to go deeper into your major. It's new so no one really knows. The first link in that folder labeled Four Year Plan Data is a comparison between 7th and the other colleges for majors which require some quarters with heavy loads. Moore said the curriculum is designed in a way to make students engage with general education (GE) all four years, rather than finish their GE requirements in one or two years. Go for warren or Revelle as engineering in my opinion. This info is directly from the academic senate, and while it is not 100% confirmed this is the final GEs, most likely it is given they made all the 4 year plans for it.

I am the Interim Provost of Seventh College, and I just wanted to clear up the misconception that the GEs for Seventh College are spread over 4 years. The only sense in which the GEs are spread out over 4 years is that Synthesis 100 is designed for students to take in their 3rd or 4th year. Like we're top 5 university subs in the US I believe. here's a link to some GE info from the Academic Senate. But yeah, dividing it doesn't make too much sense. I would still recommend checking the other colleges with any AP credit to see where to rank them, and to be cautious with ranking 7th high, but I think its a decently safe bet for you. Hi! If you were surprised by the appearance of a “7th College” for UCSD on the UC Application, you are not alone.A quick search reveals that, while the proposal for a new college was first discussed as early as 2017, the decision to open the college for enrollment may have not occurred until very recently ().. Tranfers will move to Sixth Apartments (and I think Rita Atkinson also but I'm not certain) while the Sixth Reshalls will be torn down and rebuilt into higher density housing for upper division students (and I assume some transfers too but they haven't said that yet). I like the sprit, not sure how useful this will be since residentual college is a small part of the UCSD experience though. Does anyone here know about this, or are they yet to be decided? All Seventh College students have the opportunity to live in beautiful modern apartments, complete with full kitchens, many of which boast spectacular ocean views. Sixth college is moving into the new college being build between Muir and Marshall, Seventh is scheduled to take over the dorms that are currently Sixth, GE’s were being decided in a few town halls, but wouldn’t expect anything incredibly different from every other college. The Seventh College curriculum program is called “A Changing World,” which UCSD Dean of Undergraduate Education John Moore said will allow for interdisciplinary study. Seventh College’s general education curriculum consists of 14 required courses, some of which are likely to overlap with students’ major coursework. Go ahead and check it out!
