The glazed roof of the Great Hall is juxtaposed with the Gothic forms of the Library of Parliament and the Notre-Dame Basilica. A brand pattern was created with English and French quotation marks, reflecting the voices writing, reading, and engaging with the website. Founded in 1997, the National Gallery of Canada Foundation is a not-for-profit registered charity dedicated to supporting the Gallery. The primary circulation in the the gently ramped colonnade is filled with light from skylights and large windows. The National Gallery of Canada is also full of unexpected surprises. The large areas of collections and exhibition spaces are organized into legible groups of galleries, each with an individual character appropriate to its relationship to the collection. Spend some time learning about the artists and artworks that make up the national collection. The exhibition spaces are complemented by interior garden atria and a Great Hall. This shift to an online vehicle allows more engagement, frequent updates, and the ability to reach a much larger audience.
