Even if you're only slightly 'clown-o-phobic', this one should have you checking that the doors and windows are firmly shut before going to bed.
I thought it was just fine. The percentage of users who rated this 3.5 stars or higher. Is this unfair for audiences and critics to do, given all the coverage that many "low-end" genre movies get without reference to the creators? This was a perfect film to watch.
So, for anyone interested in what I have to say now, after rewatching this film, I'll try to break it down into a few thoughts I hope are relevant: 1. Not that it matters but I just want to say on the record that the first time I saw this when I was 17 or so that I knew nothing of it's controversy or anything about Victor Salva as a person.
Just below that it reads "Ticket Confirmation#:" followed by a 10-digit number. This is some pretty dark shit that has like zero target audience which, in a sense, appeals to me, but yes it is extremely fucking creepy and reprehensible to watch this with full knowledge of what Salva did to to the main actor!!! A monster movie made by a real life monster.
I can say Victor Salva is a piece of shit, but this is a damn fine horror movie.
