It requires Magneton evolving into Magnezone underneath a Magnetic Lure Modules however- which can be purchased from the shop for 200 coins. The challenges are all based on friendship. Upon finding and defeating Giovanni during the battle-themed research, trainers were given the opportunity to catch and then purify his Suicune. Legacy Breloom was only available in January (2019). With Level 35 Groudon, you need 4 players. Save your last shield for magnezone because suicune wont take much from spark, but itll help boost wild charge faster and that fucks suicunes day up.

All in all, we recommend the following team compositions to counter Suicune: If you’ve been following along, and we know you did, you are aware that Suicune can only be effectively countered with Electric and Grass types.
Gary finished the job with crunch (although I’d have swapped him for Zekrom if I’d have known Mewtwo was going to trash his entire team). With Level 35 Magnezone, you need 4 players to beat Suicune. Turtwigs are decently common Pokemon, and you can also acquire one from the “Jump Start” Special Research, Part 4/6. Roserade’s Poison-Typing gives it an additional weakness to Psychic. The battle-themed timed research may be over, but the opportunity to catch Giovanni's Shadow Suicune remains. Thunder Shock however is legacy, from July 2018. The best Pokemon Go Suicune counters are Mega Venusaur, Shadow Raikou, Shadow Electivire, Shadow Magnezone, Zekrom & Shadow Zapdos. Thunder Shock however is Legacy. Suicune can be beaten by 3 players in optimal weather, with max friendship and perfect level 40 counters or by 5 unfriended players using level 20 counters from this guide.
Stunkfish (1700s CP) Vapereon (1400s CP) Jolteon (1400s CP) and beat him. With Level 35 Porygon-Z, you need 4 players. It is unknown how long the extension will last, but it appears that any Giovanni encounter for the foreseeable future will include a Shadow Suicune as the main event. Giovanni has been associated with a number of Pokémon during his tenure in the franchise, and they all tend to be cat-based. Suicune isn't really useful for anything, there are much better water types and ice attack users for PvP and PvE, so I'd purify it and keep as a legendary hundo. Persian I knocked out with using one shield each then saved up my Machamp charge move. I used machamp to burn shields from Persian, then swap in to rhyperior. Even without the special Timed Research, however, you should still be able to do so once the current set of challenges end.
