Based on its weight, you can catch common catfish with a weight between 14 and 20 lbs, or maybe a Legendary Channel Catfish which is colossal and weights 180lbs and 7 oz. Also the fish obviously doesn't exists. The guide says that after you catch the other 13, Gill will invite you to his shack, and then on a a trip to Rio Bravo to catch the legendary channel catfish though you'll need to reach Epilogue 1 before the latter trip is available. As you may know, after catching all of the legendary fish, you receive a quest about the legendary catfish weighing 200 lbs. I’m still a bit cheesed because I actually did spend quite a while trying to catch this same damn fish before finding out that Rockstar decided to make the damn thing uncatchable...at least without using PC wizardry. McGil is a bafoon obviously. & gave up.
It is a bit of a puzzle, isn't it? You are missing the Legendary Northern Pike (between the Sockeye & Salmon). News editor. We’ll start with a basic summary and go through each step in more detail. there are numerous hints, like the overcast weather and special spinner... may you need to use the special swamp lure as indicated in the official guide even if it's a river... but it is actually listed in the guide with it's weight so that seems odd. Jeremy McGil was pulled into the water by this gigantious fish & nothing but his Special Hat & Spinner were left. The Red Dead Redemption 2 (print) game guide suggests there’s a legendary Channel catfish to be found out in the swampy wilds of the game – somewhere.
