The training will take place in Columbia, Mo., from January 2-4 and 7-8, 2019. STEM Cubs seeks to engage elementary-aged students from underrepresented and low-income backgrounds in STEM activities. The Office of Access and Leadership Development enhances MU’s ability to engage and impact students from underrepresented and underserved populations throughout the various stages of the K-20 pipeline; thereby positively affecting student access, development and educational and career outcomes. She has been teaching in higher education in the U.S. for the past decade and a half. Participants will be trained to mediate while applying a social justice lens to their own techniques, working to ensure a fair process for all disputants.
