Loved our visit. I felt sorry for the people arriving late in the day! Having been interested in the recent moon landing celebrations I paid to see the moon in the museum exhibition which was excellent and the art work accompanied with the moon was brilliant. Access to all the special exhibits too. There are plenty of seats to rest in the museum.

They should warn patrons that they need at least a whole day to get the full experience. Did not expect to be that interested, but could not have been more wrong. Everything was fascinating, although I could do without the live bugs!

Nice tea room and lots to see. I am a senior and went on my own while my other half was occupied. Such beautiful architecture! The gallery of pictures from satellite were beyond words. The dinosaur exhibits were wonderful, the interactive games made kids also interested.

Good for all ages, I found this museum more geared to kids and young adults with bright displays and quick info memes. The museum has done an exemplary job making displays interactive and kid-friendly. There was so much to see! Lots of people but not overcrowded.

The only extra charges ($4.00) were for the 3D movie and special exhibit (about insects right now).

The ocean/plastic exhibition was also very interesting and thought provoking also. Even the cafe is well run and organized.

I liked the old style building, accessibility and restaurant. Ottawa's most memorable night out. A definite place to visit with a lot of what is said in the other museums repeated but perhaps presented a little better. Still worth a visit...very close to the downtown core. I was there 4 hours and only left due to overload and fatigue. You could get right up close to the spectacular models, and even touch some (a human and pigs heart!). You too may feel desperate for a nap. Another gem in Ottawa, the Canadian museum of nature. It was very busy, but never felt crowded.

The small snack counter has sandwiches , soup ,drinks and a few pastries, but as in all museums it is on the pricier side. ‘Nature's Nocturne’ features a spectacular ripple glitter resin, with each piece featuring a different glitter pattern, making each and every piece entirely unique! Bus fare is $3.10, have the correct change! Nature Nocturne.

Wear good walking shoes.Take a picnic lunch, drinks and snacks. The museum has done an exemplary job making displays interactive and kid-friendly. You must remember that most of Canada's national museums are pretty new ( ditching their old temporary digs for new buildings of international prominence). They have coat racks to hang your coats for free, but there is no one watching them.
